The paper whiteness tester is mainly suitable for measuring the whiteness of non colored surface flat objects or powders, and can accurately obtain whiteness values consistent with visual perception. For objects treated with fluorescent whitening agents, the whiteness value after fluorescence enhancement can be quantitatively reflected. The opacity of paper can be accurately measured. It can be widely used for measuring the whiteness of substances such as textile printing and dyeing, paint coatings, chemical building materials, paper and cardboard, plastic products, ceramics, enamel, talcum powder, starch, flour, salt, detergents, cosmetics, etc.
Working principle:
The instrument uses an integrating sphere to measure absolute spectral diffuse reflectance. The light emitted by a tungsten halogen lamp is transformed into a blue purple light through a condenser and a color filter, which enters the integrating sphere. The light is diffusely reflected on the inner wall of the integrating sphere and then shines on the sample at the testing port. The light reflected by the sample is received by a silicon photocell after passing through a condenser and a light bar filter group, and converted into an electrical signal. Another path of silicon photocells receives the substrate signal inside the sphere. Two electrical signals are amplified, mixed and processed separately, and the measurement results are displayed digitally with a built-in printer for printing.
