Groundwater and surface water monitoring indicators

2024-01-04 13:31

According to the groundwater monitoring indicators (SL183-2005):

1. National key basic stations should meet the requirements of mandatory testing items in the table below, and relevant monitoring items should be selected based on the use of groundwater.

Required test items: pH, total hardness, total dissolved solids, chloride, fluoride, sulfate, ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, permanganate index, volatile phenols, cyanide, arsenic, mercury, hexavalent chromium, lead, iron, manganese, and coliform bacteria.

Selected test items: color, smell and taste, turbidity, visible to the naked eye, copper, zinc, molybdenum, diamond, anionic synthetic detergent, iodide, selenium, beryllium, barium, nickel, hexachlorocyclohexane, DDT, total bacterial count, total α Radioactivity, total β Radioactivity.

2. In areas where endemic diseases are prevalent, additional tests for iodine, molybdenum, and other items should be conducted.

3. Industrial water should be tested separately for corrosive carbon dioxide, phosphate, total soluble solids, and other items.

4. Additional iodine testing and other items should be added in coastal areas.

5. Mineral water should undergo additional tests for selenium, sawdust, and metasilicic acid.

6. Rural groundwater can be tested for organic chlorine, organophosphorus pesticides, and Kjeldahl nitrogen; Areas with severe organic pollution can choose projects such as benzene compounds, hydrocarbons, volatile organic carbon, and soluble organic carbon.

Surface water monitoring indicators:

Surface water: I am engaged in surface water monitoring, and the general monitoring items include conventional 5 parameters, COD, and ammonia nitrogen. There are many optional parameters. According to the local water quality, for example, measuring the surface water of the Taihu Lake Lake and Chaohu Lake, it is necessary to measure the algae chlorophyll, because there is a serious outbreak of cyanobacteria in that area. If it is monitoring the surface water of a drinking water source, such as a certain reservoir, which belongs to domestic drinking water, it is necessary to monitor parameters such as acute toxins, as well as fluoride, heavy metals, total organic carbon, total nitrogen and total phosphorus, etc. It is said that there is a certain linear relationship between COD and total organic carbon, so generally when measuring COD, there is no need to measure TOC (total organic carbon).
