Tips for selecting material testing machines

1、 Firstly, it is necessary to consider the range of material tensile strength that needs to be tested

The different range of pulling force determines the different sensors used, which in turn determines the structure of the material testing machine, but this has little impact on the price (except for the gantry type). For general flexible packaging manufacturers, a tension range of 200 Newton is sufficient. Therefore, it has also been decided to use a single arm type.

The corresponding structure to the single arm structure is the portal structure, which is suitable for relatively large tensile forces, such as one ton or more. So flexible packaging manufacturers basically don't need it.

2、 Issues with the experimental schedule

According to the performance and requirements of the flexible packaging film, a travel range of 500-600mm is sufficient. For materials with an elongation exceeding 1000%, a stroke of 1000 or 1200mm can be selected.

3、 Standard configuration issues

There are three basic configurations for intelligence: a host, a microcomputer, and a printer. If the microcomputer is powerful, it can print directly. Additionally, it can be equipped with a regular computer. With a computer, complex data analysis can be performed, such as data editing, local zooming in, adjustable report formats, and grouped statistical analysis.

If a computer is used, the manufacturer should provide corresponding software control systems.

4、 Output results

The output results of the test results can be set arbitrarily: force value, elongation, tensile strength, elongation at constant force, elongation at constant elongation force value, yield strength, elastic modulus, and 8 test forces. This can be said to be the comprehensive output of microcomputer operation. Some products from foreign manufacturers can generally output these 8 items. Some domestic manufacturers can output 5-6 items, while others can only output force values, average values, and small values.

5、 On feasible experimental projects

Flexible packaging requires a multi-purpose tensile testing machine, which can perform stretching, compression, bending, tearing, shearing, 180 degree peeling, and 90 degree peeling tests on the basis of different fixtures.
