Selection of multi-element analyzers

2024-03-11 14:55

The multi-element analyzer is a new type of multi-element analyzer in China, which can detect various elements such as Si, Mn, P, Cr, Ni, Mo, Cu, Ti in various materials such as plain carbon steel, low alloy steel, high alloy steel, cast iron, ductile iron, and alloy cast iron.

Selection guide:

1. Photometric accuracy refers to the difference between the actual measured photometric reading and the true value. It is a direct requirement from users for the instrument, and every user must take it seriously.

2. Stray light refers to the presence of light in areas where it should not be present. It is the main source of errors in spectral measurements. The smaller the value, the better.

3. Spectral bandwidth refers to the spectral band width at 1/2 height of the intensity contour curve of monochromatic spectral lines emitted from a monochromator. Characterize the spectral resolution of the instrument. According to Beer's law, the spectral bandwidth should be as small as possible. However, if the energy of the instrument's light source is weak and the sensitivity of the optical sensor is low, the spectral bandwidth will be small and ideal measurement results will not be obtained. So, be careful when choosing and using instruments.

4. Stability is one of the indicators that users are concerned about. The purpose of an instrument is stability and reliability, let alone instability.

5. Noise is also one of the important indicators of instruments. It characterizes the instrument's ability to make dilute solutions. The smaller the indicator, the better.

6. The accuracy and repeatability of wavelength. Each value of the instrument is measured at a certain wavelength. If the displayed wavelength deviates by tens of thousands of miles from the actual wavelength, then where does the consistency between the measured value and the true value start? The importance of this indicator is evident. In short, these indicators are independent and interrelated, and each indicator has a significant impact on the use of the instrument. I hope everyone can make more comparisons and judgments when choosing UV and visible spectrophotometers, and truly find a stable and reliable helper.
