Properties and types of standard buffer solutions

A standard buffer solution is a type of solution. The standard buffer solution has stable properties, a certain buffer capacity, and anti dilution ability, and is commonly used to calibrate pH meters.

The commonly used standard buffer solutions include potassium hydrogen phthalate solution, potassium dihydrogen phosphate and disodium hydrogen phosphate mixed salt solution, borax solution, KHC8H4O4, etc. IUPAC has specified specific concentration and pH standard values.
