Selection of laser rangefinder

Laser rangefinders are widely used in terrain measurement, battlefield measurement, tank, aircraft, ships, and artillery ranging of targets, measuring the altitude of clouds, aircraft, and artificial satellites. It is an important technical equipment for improving the accuracy of high tanks, aircraft, ships, and artillery. Due to the continuous decrease in the price of laser rangefinders, they are gradually being used in industry and can be widely used in industrial measurement and control, mining, ports and other fields.

When choosing a rangefinder, several points to consider:

1. Measurement range

2. Measurement accuracy

3. Occasions of use

It can be divided into the following situations:

a) Distance measurement only needs to be carried out within a range of a few meters or a dozen meters, with low accuracy requirements. Suggestion - "Ultrasonic rangefinder" can be selected.

Note - The measurement effect of ultrasonic rangefinders is greatly affected by the environment, and their stability and directionality are worse than those of laser rangefinders. However, they are relatively inexpensive and suitable for indoor measurement.

b) The measurement distance is not long and is mostly used indoors, with high accuracy requirements.

Suggestion - You can choose to purchase a handheld laser rangefinder as shown in the left image.

Note - The handheld laser rangefinder is suitable for indoor use, with excellent measurement accuracy and effectiveness. However, when measuring outdoors, the accuracy of the handheld laser rangefinder decreases significantly due to the influence of outdoor light pollution.

(If users need to conduct detection in outdoor environments, it is recommended to equip professional laser sights and reflectors in combination to achieve the expected measurement range and effect.)

Attention: The continuous output laser used by the laser rangefinder has a red spectral range visually, which may cause irreversible damage to the eyes when viewed directly.

c) The measurement distance is relatively long and is mostly used for outdoor use.
