Can you truly understand the drop testing machine?

Drop testing machine is a machine designed to test the damage of product packaging caused by falling and evaluate the impact strength during transportation and handling. Adopting dual column guidance and adjustable height drop times, it works stably and reliably, and can achieve edge, surface, and angle drop. Classification of drop testing machines: single arm drop testing machines, double arm drop testing machines, zero drop testing machines.


1、 Classification characteristics of drop testing machines


1. Zero drop testing machine


Features: The zero drop tensile machine has a test piece bracket. During the test, the bracket moves downwards at high speed and detaches from the test piece. Before the tested packaged goods fall to the bottom plate, the bracket has been embedded flat on the bottom plate under the action of an efficient shock absorber. In theory, a zero drop tensile machine can perform drop tests from zero height to the drop height range. The drop height is set numerically according to the test requirements, and the drop test is automatically performed according to the set height. Drop type tensile machines have different and identical characteristics, so when choosing a drop type tensile machine, it is important to know which type of drop type tensile machine your product is suitable for.


2. Single arm drop testing machine


Features: The single wing drop tensile machine places the product to be tested in a selected placement method: face, edge, and angle to fix the digital display height. It can be set at any height within the testing range of the equipment according to user requirements. After determining the height, release the solenoid valve, and the test product will immediately leave the arm and fall freely. Press the "Stop" button to automatically reset the drop plate.


3. Double arm drop testing machine


Features: The double arm drop tensile machine can perform free drop tests on the surface, corners, and edges of packaging components. It is equipped with a digital height display and uses a decoder for height tracking, thereby accurately giving the product drop height. The double arm drop tensile machine adopts a single arm and double column structure, with electric reset, electric control drop, and electric lifting devices, making it easy to use. Single arm setting allows for easy placement of products, with a drop angle of less than or equal to 5 degrees between the impact surface and the bottom plate plane.


2、 Operation steps of drop testing machine


1. Wiring: The attached power supply should be connected to the three-phase power supply and grounded, then connect the control box with the link wire attached to the drop tester, and try to run the command of rising and falling. If there is a situation where you press the up button but run down or press the down button but rise, simply change the phase number at the power supply.


2. Place the tested sample on the workbench and fix it with a fixing rod;


3. Press the drop button to instantly detach the worktable from the tested sample, allowing the tested sample to freely drop;


4. Press the up button to raise the tested sample to the set height.


5. Press the reset button to restore the workbench to its working state


6. Adjustment of drop height: Turn on the power of the host and set the required height for the test.
