The UV lamps in the box cannot be chosen arbitrarily. We have to choose according to our own needs. Different test environments and products require UV lamps with different wavelengths. Generally speaking, there are two kinds of UV lamps suitable for the test box: UVA and UVB.

 

Type 1: UVA-340 can well simulate short-wave ultraviolet light from sunlight, that is, the sunlight cut-off point in the wavelength range of 365nm~295nm.

 

Type 2: UVB-313 tube can produce short-wave ultraviolet light, and its radiation is stronger than the ultraviolet radiation of sunlight in nature, so it can make products or materials age rapidly. However, it should be noted that this type of UV lamp is not suitable for all product materials and may cause damage to some product materials. Therefore, this UVB lamp is more suitable for research and development, quality control, etc. If you need to test weather-resistant products or materials, UVB type UVB lamps can also be used.

 

In addition, the aging acceleration effect of UVA-340 is basically slightly worse than that of UVB-313, slower and less obvious. However, UVA-340 is basically better than UVB-313 in the repeatability test of weather resistance.
