Disposable medical masks are used in general medical environments, and there are not too many requirements for tightness and blood barrier effect. Commonly used are ear loops and laces, and are similar in appearance to medical surgical masks.

Test items

Appearance, structure and size, nose clip, mask strap, bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE), ventilation resistance, microbial indicators, residual ethylene oxide, cytotoxicity, skin irritation, delayed hypersensitivity

Important indicators

Bacterial Filtration Efficiency: Mask Bacterial Filtration Efficiency: Not less than 95%

Ventilation resistance: The ventilation resistance for gas exchange on both sides of the mask should not be greater than 49Pa/cm2

Microorganisms: total bacterial colonies: ≤100CFU/g

Coliform bacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic streptococcus and fungi shall not be detected

Residual amount of ethylene oxide: if the mask is sterilized or disinfected by ethylene oxide, the residual amount of ethylene oxide should not exceed 10μg/g
