Xenon lamp aging test chamber and UV Accelerated Weathering Tester are both the most widely used accelerated aging testing equipment. Although these two testing equipments are used to test the aging resistance of products, their testing principles are completely different. Let's introduce them below. Xenon lamp aging test chamber

The Xenon lamp aging test chamber simulates all the spectrum of sunlight, including ultraviolet (uv), visible light and infrared (ir), and the xenon lamp spectrum basically matches the spectrum of sunlight in the range of 295nm to 800nm. Therefore, the xenon lamp aging test chamber is used to test many products, which are more sensitive to the long waveband of ultraviolet, visible light and infrared.

UV Accelerated Weathering Tester

The UV Accelerated Weathering Tester cannot simulate full spectrum sunlight. Its principle is that for durable materials exposed to the outdoors, the short-wavelength 300~400nm of ultraviolet light is the most important cause of aging damage. The UV Accelerated Weathering Tester can simulate sunlight well in the short wavelength region of ultraviolet, from 365nm to the lowest wavelength of sunlight, however, it will not be able to do anything for longer wavelengths.

The best method for Xenon lamp aging test chamber testing depends on the test needs, and each method can be very effective. Appropriate testing equipment should be selected based on the product or material being tested, the final application conditions, the mode of degradation considered, and the budget.
