How to choose a temperature detector

There are many types of temperature detectors, how to choose an economical, practical, and suitable temperature instrument? When selecting temperature detection instruments, attention should be paid to the characteristics and applicability of each instrument, which is a key link to ensure the measurement accuracy of temperature detection instruments.

1. Bimetal thermometers are generally used for on-site temperature signal detection and indication, with low measurement accuracy.

2. Thermocouples, thermistors, and radiation thermometers can be used for online measurement of temperature signals. Among them, thermistors and thermocouples are two commonly used temperature measuring instruments in the industry. The former is suitable for measuring medium and low temperatures below 500 degrees, while the latter is more suitable for measuring medium and high temperatures in the range of 500 to 1800 degrees. Radiation thermometers are generally used for measuring high temperatures above 2000 degrees.

In addition, when selecting temperature detection instruments, in addition to considering technical requirements such as measurement accuracy, signal system, stability, etc., attention should also be paid to the influence of working environment and other factors, such as environmental temperature, medium characteristics (oxidizing, reducing, corrosive), etc., and appropriate protective sleeves, connecting wires and other accessories should be selected.
