Selection guide for hardness testers

Hardness tester is a high-tech product that integrates liquid crystal, mechanical, and electronic circuit technology.

Selection guide:

1. Brinell hardness tester: mainly used to measure non quenched steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and soft bearing alloy materials, represented by HBW.

2. Vickers hardness tester: mainly used to measure the hardness of black metals, non-ferrous metals, hard alloys (such as aluminum alloys), and surface carburized and nitrided layers, represented by HV.

3. Rockwell hardness tester: used for testing the hardness of various steels (including alloy steel and stainless steel). This is an important and commonly used type of hardness tester. There are the following Rockwell hardness tester, electric Rockwell hardness tester, digital Rockwell hardness tester, digital surface Rockwell hardness tester, digital Rockwell hardness tester, and surface Rockwell hardness tester.

4. The Brinell hardness tester refers to a hardness tester that can perform Brinell, Vickers, and Rockwell hardness tests. More suitable for development and research purposes.

5. Shore hardness tester Shore hardness tester is an instrument used to measure the hardness of rubber, foam, plastic and other materials, mainly including HA and HD. The former is the hardness parameter of softer rubber, and the latter is the hardness parameter of harder rubber or plastic.

7. Pencil hardness tester: This is used for testing the hardness of coatings. It is used to clamp a pencil onto a "car" and slide it on the coating. The hardness of the coating is determined based on the hardness of the pencil and the scratches on the coating.

8. Leeb hardness tester: This is a smaller hardness tester that can convert various hardness values. Mainly used for testing metal materials, especially for larger workpieces.
