The reciprocating abrasion tester is used to test the scratch resistance and wear resistance of coatings, plastics, decorative fabrics, automotive interiors, pile fabrics, etc. The LCD screen controls and displays the test process, and parameters such as the number of reciprocating abrasions, motion strokes, and reciprocating motion speeds can be set according to user needs. The unique friction arm design realizes the replacement of different friction heads. The implementation of pressure is precisely controlled according to the principle of lever balance. Fully meet the different requirements of different standards for friction form, friction head, pressure, etc. Flat abrasion tester for fabrics is an instrument for measuring the "abrasion resistance" (page 486) of fabrics. It is a kind of fabric flat grinder. It is mainly composed of motion platform, bracket and so on. The linear reciprocating motion is generated by electric motor transmission. A fabric sample is mounted under a certain tension on a moving platform. Put the bracket-wrapped abrasive (such as No. 400 water sandpaper) on the sample and rub it back and forth. Or wrap the sample on the support, flatten and tension the abrasive on the moving platform. The bracket and the moving platform move relative to each other, and the sample is subjected to plane reciprocating wear. Measure the light transmittance and strength change or damage of the sample under a certain number of times to determine the wear resistance of the sample.
The test sample is fixed on a horizontal sample stage, and is abraded with the horizontal movement of the sample stage under the specified abrasive and load. The other end of the test arm is equipped with a weight to maintain the balance of the test arm to ensure the accuracy of the sample surface loading. Abrasives and load frames are adjustable in height to suit testing of samples of different heights.

The instrument consists of the following parts: additional weight, friction head, balance bar, fixed knob, locking knob, balance weight; LCD screen; power switch; emergency stop button.
Additional weights: Different additional weights are equipped according to various standards and customer needs. After adjusting the balance, the weight of the additional weights is the weight of the sample.
Friction head: According to different standards and customer needs, there are many kinds of friction heads for replacement. The instrument is equipped with friction heads and their fixtures as follows: Among them, for the D42 1775 grinding head, sandpaper needs to be attached to the arc surface of the grinding head during use. For the rubber grinding head and the set, the set needs to be disassembled during use, put the green grinding head into the middle of the set, then use the top screw to protrude and tighten, and the grinding head is exposed 0.1in from the surface of the set.
Fixed knob: Loosen the fixed knob, if the weight of the balance weight and the friction head cannot be balanced, the balance bar will tilt. On the contrary, if the fixed knob is locked, the current position can be locked even if the balance bar is unbalanced.
Locking knob: After tightening, the front-to-back ratio of the balance bar can be locked.
Balance bar: It plays the role of measuring whether the lever balance is achieved and supporting the connection.
Balance weight: According to the principle of lever balance, move the front and rear positions of the balance weight to balance with the friction head. Make the pressure of the additional weight equal to the pressure experienced by the actual fabric.
LCD screen: It has the functions of setting test parameters, displaying and controlling the test process.
Power switch: Turns the instrument on or off.
Emergency stop button: In an emergency, press the emergency stop button and the instrument will shut down.
